An Update for the SP-GeoMap Field with Proximity Searchis is available!
The SobiPro SP-GeoMap Field extends the types of possible custom fields with a field type for showing the location of an entry on a Google Map and with the possibility to do a Proximity Search.
During adding an entry, it creates coordinates based of the browser's geo-location of the author, or of the entered address.
In the details view the entry will get a map with a marker for this entry.
The Proximity Search lets the visitors search entries within the proximity of a given location.
This awesome feature will allow your visitors to comfortably find nearest entries. Those entries are ordered then by the distance to the provided location of the visitor. Contrary to common, so called radius distance search functionalities, it doesn't require the visitor, to specify the radius distance to search within. It spares visitors an unnecessary step, as the search will simply return all results ordered by the distance, visitors can decide by themselves if the result is satisfactory or not. Of course all other search criteria are going to be considered as well.
This update has some bugs resolved and some languages updated. More information are available in the Changelog of this app.
