Update SobiPro and its applications to the most recent version before reporting a problem!

We are continously improving SobiPro and its applications, fixing bugs and making working with them more easy. Still we see that some users report problems for older versions. I had moved from Godaddy hosting to cloud hosting. I was able to move the site and all components are working except for SobiPro.

My site is https://www.chemengg.com and directory link is https://www.chemengg.com/directory

SobiPro backend is working, with the following observations:

The first observation is the section view of the directory in the front end providing the error in the title of the webpage " <title>Error: 0 Call to a member function removeChild() on null</title>

The second observation is in the back end "It seems some URLs don't have a Joomla! Itemid set. Probably a menu entry to this particular section has not been created. You will find more information in the documentation. Object id: 1" and for all other entries.

I did a paid subscription many years back to set this site and since I do not monetize the site may not be able to pay again rather forced to move on to WordPress or something else, because I had advanced plug-in's which may need to subscribe gold to get this sorted out. I did acknowledge SobiPro all the long even though I paid and would be happy to provide good feedback.

My SobiPro version is 1.4.8 and Joomla version is 3.9.1

I had to keep the database version 8.0.22 MySQL, PHP 7.4.3 on Ubuntu 20.04 as I run some mail servers, etc on the same server.

Appreciate any help from the Sobipro team or community

After moving SobiPro to other server/domain it is really recommended to clear all caches. Perhaps this was your problem and when you disbaled XML cache the problem with wrong cache data was gone. I think you should try to enable it back, however main SobiPro caching is made by Data Accelerator, and even with disabled XML cache you shouldn't get big performance decrease.

When I was played around with Global configuration by switching off XML view Cached. It is working. By doing that I believe I am not using the SobiPro cache.

Appreciate if anyone can help me to fix this.

Thanks, Sikora. Do really appreciate your support in 2015 without which the directory would not be possible. Do acknowledge SobiPro in my technology section. If not for this package would have moved to WordPress or some other CMS.

I did keep the Data Accelerator on. When I switched on XML View Catched to Yes, it reverts back to the same error. Probably it is ok to live with that as I don't see a huge performance issue.

However, I am facing an issue with the navigation menu, +Add Site, Search and search box which returns to the requested page cannot be found with itemid '0'. Appreciate your support in throwing light on this.

https://www.chemengg.com/directory.html Please click on nav menu +Add Site or try to search.

While working with and checked my old communication which mentioned that I need to create menu items so that they could be available. I had gone ahead and created two top-level menus in a new menu which is not the main menu. Miraculously the links started working.
