I am still using an older version of SP (1.1.3) and can't yet upgrade because I need a new subscription to update plugins, apps etc. I am almost ready to do that.

However, because I also use some 3rd party add-ons for SP that do things SP can't natively I have to plan globally. One of those things is the SEF router. When the native one came out it did not help me because it was SP specific. I want a Joomla type URL for entries like domainname/joomla_link/entry_url. The native SP router would not do this. I am currently doing something like this:

http://www.karaokeacrossamerica.com/karaoke-shows/the-oasis-glendive-mt

Where the "karaoke-shows" is the name of the category and the "the-oasis-glendive-mt" is the title of the entry but WITHOUT the item ID or html/php extension.

I have been using the SEF router that has been part of XTDir from Extly for several years now. It works great! However, it may be deprecated and I won't have any way to retain my current URLs if I upgrade.

What I'm trying to determine is if the SEF router offered as part of the core SP package has been updated so it can replicate what I'm trying to do. Despite the fact it's part of the free package I am unable to access documentation at this point as docs require a paid subscription.

Is anyone using the current version of SP with eh router feature and can they tell me if it can do what I'm looking to do?

Thanks in advance!
